What is Poetry Workshop?

Poetry Workshop helps young writers discover their voice through the art of poetry. From haiku to sonnets, free verse to slam poetry, students explore a wide range of forms and styles — guided by a dedicated coach who provides personalized feedback on every poem they write.

  • Explore a wide range of poetic forms: free verse, haiku, sonnet, slam, ode, elegy, and more
  • Build essential writing skills including imagery, metaphor, rhythm, and word choice
  • Receive detailed, personalized feedback on every poem from a dedicated writing coach
  • Build a portfolio of original poetry that can be submitted to competitions and publications
  • Be featured in a published anthology — your poems in print
