Course Syllabus
Mechanics & Modals
Solidify your understanding of pronouns and clauses, and deepen their complexity using apostrophes and modal verbs.
Grammatical Roles
Explore the purpose of infinitive phrases and learn how to split them. In uncovering the transitive properties of verbs, define the subjects and direct/indirect objects that appear nearby. Build complex and compound sentences by combining clauses.
Mood & Voice
Analyze how authors build mood through word choice and style. Experiment with developing a writer’s voice by varying sentence structures, incorporating new vocabulary, and using newly-learned mechanics.
